Greg Hardy Steps Into The Octagon Tonight As Part Of UFC's Tuesday Night Contender Series
Tonight on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series – live on UFC Fight Pass – Greg Hardy (of domestic abuse fame) will make his professional mixed martial arts debut.
After football, Hardy turned to his true passion of fighting, and has been training at American Top Team ever since. He’s 3-0 with three first-round knockouts as an amateur. With a win later on, he could very well be on his way to earning a UFC contract from Dana White.
He’ll be facing another former professional football player in Austen Lane, who played defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and obviously, we’ll all be rooting for him. I think it’s pretty fucking shitty that the UFC is even affording Hardy this opportunity, especially after Dana White’s ignorant response to some criticism about it this Saturday, but I guess at this point all we could do is hope for a brutal first round knockout.
